Haitian Students Perform Community Service

“I Have A Dream” Foundation  – Richmond exposes all Dreamers to community service.  Our four students in the United States from Haiti have been involved in two such activities.  After marveling at our public libraries, they developed a collective dream to start a much-needed library in the village of Hinche.  They are in the process of collecting books and brainstorming the logistics of making this dream a reality.  Secondly, three of the students are attending training in international disaster services through the Red Cross.  This training could prove invaluable to them upon their return to Haiti.  We wish these young men and women continued success in their studies at J. Sargeant Community College in Richmond, Virginia and Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina.
